on the scene as a first
responder during the
9/11 tragedy. Mr. Bethea
was buried under debris
when the first World
Trade Center tower fell.
Upon
escape, Bethea helped
another victim to safety
as the second tower
began to collapse. He
was then covered in
debris only to escape
once again.
